Prowler spotted in a garage. Only a few houses away from the Snelling residence and a few hours before the homicide. After the murder, it was discovered that a ladder had been "borrowed" near this residence and dumped one house away. Based on how it was found, one of the theories is that he used it to get a bird's eye view of the neighborhood before committing the crime.
